Five months have come and gone. This year is going by way to fast. I took a much needed vacation and went to Saint George, Utah for a retreat with mother/daughter duo Sherri and Chelsi of A Quilting Life and Camille Roskelley with Thimble Blossoms. This was my first quilt retreat and it was great. I met some wonderful people and had fun sewing with some beautiful fabrics.
Sheri and Chelsi's quilt was called, Sea Breeze, and was done with their Rasberry Summer fabric line. In addition, there was a mini quilt called, Harbor Mini that I completed. For Camille's quilt, the pattern is called Beachwalk and is one of her newest patterns to go with her new fabric line, blueprint that comes out later this year. She also had a Little Darling mini quilt, but I did not make that one. Each person drew a random card with a letter and based on your letter was how you chose your fabric from several fabric lines in Camille's stash. I chose fabrics from the One Fine Day collection that debuted in 2022.
This is 1 of 8 blocks that I completed using Raspberry Summer for Sheri and Chelsi's quilt. This quilt will be added to my to do list and be finished before the end of the year.
This is my completed Harbor mini also made from Raspberry Summer as well as myself and Sherri. I was the only attendee who finished the mini quilt, but I had stayed up until midnight two nights prior cutting out all the tiny pieces so I could finish it.
This is 2 of 8 blocks that I completed on the Beachwalk quilt, which will also be added to my to do list and completed by the end of the year.
Now for a run down of my usual monthly update.
Vintage Christmas - I completed the next 4 blocks for this month. I am using my leftover HomeTown Holiday fabric from the Quilted Snowman Quilt to make this one.
Riley Blake Designs Block Challenge - There were 3 blocks released this month and the finishing instructions. I really wanted to finish this quilt this month despite being on vacation and to my surprise was able to pull off a finish. I have been using the fabric collection, Piece and Plenty, by Lori Holt and I really like how it all came together in the end. For my block in the middle I decided to make the Riley Blake bird that many others have been making lately. I also finished my quilt with 6" borders as opposed to the 3" in the pattern. I will do a separate post of the finished quilt.

Cali & Co Mystery Block - there will only be one block released each month. I completed block 5 this month. I am using fabric from Corey Yoder's Cali and Co line.
Woven Star Quilt and Bitty Brick House - No new blocks this month.
Sewing Themed Quilt Sew-a-long - This quilt is being hosted by Erica Arndt from Confessions of a Homeschooler using her latest fabric collection. The designs each week are absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to see this quilt finished.

I have really enjoyed all of my quilt activities this month and hope to get some more finishes done in June. One I hope to finish is my first patriotic quilt that I’ve been working on for a little over a month, but haven’t posted anything about it. Here is a tease of what the blocks look like.
