One of my favorite things to eat growing up was pecans, which was probably due to the fact that my parents had a pecan orchard that we harvested each year. Mom use to make this recipe for us when we were kids and for all types of parties and weddings over the years.
I just discovered a new food that I like…Banana Bread and boy is it delicious. I had always turned my nose up to it when someone offered me any in the past; however, my husband asked me to bake some and now I’m in love with it. The recipe below is from my cookbook, “Cooking with Mom”, which is a collection of recipes from friends and family that I created back in 2007. I baked this bread in my convection oven.
My late husband’s father could cook a great soup and this recipe was always a delight whether we ate it at his house or ours. Make some cornbread to go with it and you will have a wonderful meal to share with your family and friends. Perfect recipe for fall, which is just around the corner.
