The Bee Vintage Sew Along is another one of Lori Holt's creations and sew-a-longs using her Sew Simple Shapes. The quilt includes 20 different blocks and then sashing and borders. Each week there are 3 blocks to complete. This sew along started on the 10th of July and I really hope I am able to keep up with the 3 blocks per week.

This week we are completing the Vintage Umbrella, Vintage Flower, and Vintage Teapot!

Shabby Fabrics has come out with another series that I am falling in love with. This is called the Foundation Paper Piecing Series where each month they release a brand-new wall hanging kit that finishes to approximately 12" x 12".

The month of June was a beautiful butterfly with beautiful shades of blue. I love butterflies, but I really think it was the colors that prompted me to purchase this one. You can watch a video of how to put this together from Jen herself on the Shabby Fabrics YouTube channel.

The kit includes all the fabrics to make the Wall Hanging, including border, binding and backing! Also included is the paper piecing patterns printed on foundation paper, stickers to label your fabrics and help with organizing as well as an extra set of paper piecing patterns and stickers.
