Raspberry Summer Tote without the Raspberry

While my Mom was here visiting in February I made her a special tote bag using the pattern by Sherri McConnell of A Quilting Life called, Raspberry Summer Tote, but I did not use the Raspberry Summer fabric collection. Instead, for my Mom's bag I used another line of fabric from Sherri & Chelsi called, Strawberry Lemonade, as for some reason I seemed to have accumulated quiet a bit of this collection and needed to use if for something, so why not a tote bag. I followed the pattern making this bag with the hexagons.

My Mom has some special twin girls in her life that she considers her grandchildren (which would then make them my nieces) and she's always asking me to make them stuff. I've made them dresses in the past, but on this trip I made the same bag I made for my mom, but used a charm pack and definitely did not make the hexagons. Doing that once was enough for me. The fabric collection used on the inside of the twins bags was from Effies Woods by Deb Strain. It had one design that said, "You are Cherished, You are Loved", and my Mom fell in love with it and said it was perfect for the girls bags. The inside of each bag had fabric from Lori Holt's Stitch fabric line.

I added special tags inside each bag which all of them really liked.
