I've always wanted to make a tree skirt for my Christmas tree, but never had the nerve to attempt it until this year. I picked out a fabric, Snow Day, by Whistler Studios for Windham Fabrics that I purchased from Fat Quarter Shop. I really didn't like the black colors as they do not say Christmas to me, but I still ended up using them. I used a quilt as you go batting that made that process easy, but not sure I would use that again. I think it would be easier to sew the pieces together and then quilt as I wanted.
I was not really satisfied with the way this one turned out and plan to make another one before 2022. This one seemed way too small for my tree as well. Below is what the finished product looked like.
