Home Town Sew Along_Part 2

By Anna - September 22, 2024

I have been working hard to get the 12 appliqué blocks completed, but so far I only have 8 finished. Some of these are much more complicated than others, but it has been an absolute joy making each of these. I really enjoy the creation process and watching these blocks come to life.

If this your first time to my blog you’ll need to check out the Part 1 post for Home Town Sew Along to see the 40 blocks I shared there. Once all the blocks are complete, I will add slashing and borders to complete this wonderful quilt designed by designer Lori Holt of Bee in My Bonnet. Lori is truly talented and creates many quilts that are a reflection of her childhood, several of which remind me of my own.

Below are the first 8 blocks that still need to have all the pieces sewn down as Sue glue is all that is holding them to the background fabric.

Beehive House

Pineapple House

Flag House

Fireworks House

Tulip House

Topiary House

Bird House

Sunflower House

My goal is to finish the other by the end of the week.
