I made a visit to Missouri Star Quilt Company in February 2021 and purchased fabric called Measure Twice. I liked it because it had all types of sewing notions on it as well as a bunch of sayings related to sewing:
"Hanging by a thread"
" Measure Twice, Cut Once"
"A Stitch in Time Saves Nine"
"On Pins and Needles"
"Cute as a Button"
I didn't have any type of pattern in mind when I bought the fabric and pretty much winged this one when I finally decided to sew it together.
The pieces I bought were: 1 yd Sewing Table Border-Aqua, 1 yd Yardstick Sayings, 1 yd Notions-Aqua, 1 yd Buttons-Aqua, and 2 yards Needle and Thread, Aqua. For the backing, I found 4 yards Pick Up Pins, Yellow on Etsy and purchased from there.
I just cut some strips tall enough to show off the notions and sewed them together, then added a border. I finished the piecing on April 10, 2022, but it would be the 10th of May before I finally put her on the longarmer and quilted her.
All of these pics are after it was quilted and then the binding and my label was added to do the complete finish.
