Holly Hobbie Cross Stitch

By Anna - August 09, 2024

This pattern takes me back to a time many years ago...all the way to elementary school, which believe me was a long time ago! Another pattern that was shared on social media that I just had to make. It's funny how you see something someone else has done and it just triggers memories that make you want to do it too!

I found the pattern on Etsy as a digital download. It showed 3 different stitch versions, a brown, a blue and a red. I remember my Holly Hobbie lunchbox having the blue version. I believe said lunchbox is still at my parents house. Since my childhood version was blue, I chose to stitch mine in blue. Because of all the different color changes throughout, I decided to stitch this piece on 14 count Aida, which is much easier than stitching on 25 count. It took me about a 4-6 weeks to finish as I was only stitching in the evenings. I still need to get it framed, but wanted to share as it might be another 4-6 months before I get it framed.
