September Stitchy Progress

By Anna - October 01, 2024

Last month I shared that I had started a project called "Pumpkins for Sale" and was hoping to have it finished by the end of September. Well as always other things got in the way and I was unable to finish, but did make some progress. The last picture I shared at the end of August showed my progress after 9 days. Here is that pic again...

After 9 days I had completed the scarecrow and the left side for sunflowers. By the end of September I had completed all of the pumpkins under the left side, but did not take a picture of that side before moving my clamps to the right so all I have to show you is the pic below.

I still have 2 1/2 pumpkins to complete, sunflowers and a sign. Maybe I will have it finished at the end of October. I would really like to have framed to display during the month of November.

Although I didn't complete the above project, I was able to finish two projects on my list. The October Nine Patch was stitched, but still needs to be made into a pillow for the dough bowl. This pattern is by Lindsay Weight with Primrose Cottage and is part of a 12-month series that I started back in June. I still have several months to go before I have all of these made as I am only doing 1 per month.
Ghost, Candy Corn and Witch Hat
The other completed stitch project was an item to be completed as an ornament for the Christmas tree, which is why I wanted to finish sooner rather than later. This pattern is called Gingham Greetings by Stitching with the Housewives. I wasn't sure about stitching on black Aida, but it wasn't too bad, but I had to have really good lighting at all times.

Happy Stitching!
