Last year my daughter, Christine, asked if I could make her a tree skirt for her Christmas tree with the Grinch and I played it off as I wasn’t sure if I could do it or not. It would take me a year before I actually done it. I bought a panel that had the skirt printed on it so all I had to do was quilt it with a backing and batting. I purchased a quilt pattern from Pro-Stitcher called Holiday Lights Meander e2e.
Once the skirt was quilted, which took way too many hours to stitch out. I’m not sure if it was the pattern that was slow or Miss Moxie was just having a bad day. What I do know, is if another pattern takes that long to stitch it will be time for a new quilt machine. It literally took me ALL DAY long to quilt.
After the quilting was completed, I cut out the skirt along the outline and then added binding. The final product turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself.
I had quite a bit of fabric left over so I used it to make two pillow covers. I installed a zipper so they can be removed to wash.
